Twenty six houses, originally built for workers of the Kiewa hydro-electric scheme, sit on the side of the valley overlooking the picturesque Lake Guy in beautiful European seasonal gardens surrounded by the Alpine National Park.
A stay in the village can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you like.
Hike, stroll or amble around the lake or nearby trails, play tennis, catch trout in the lake or nearby mountain streams, and picnic or enjoy a BBQ by the lake or rivers. Or just relax and enjoy the splendid views and the fresh mountain air. The village is an ideal base for a range of adventure based activities and for exploring the mountains and valleys of North East Victoria.
Bogong Village is a great escape for all seasons.
The two, three and four bedroom houses are similar on the outside but very different on the inside as they are all individually owned. Each cabin is decorated and furnished according to the owner’s personal taste and budget and are classified as either Standard, Intermediate or Superior. These classifications have been set with the AAA National Classification Guidelines in mind
All houses are self contained with a fully equipped kitchen and are comfortably appointed with fresh linen, warm bedding, heating, TV and washing machine/dryer. The Intermediate and Superior cabins offer further comforts such as video player or DVD, books and games. They have been renovated and refurbished and may also have dishwasher, wood heater, spa, or BBQ.
