What is Mittagundi ?
Mittagundi is an independent, non-profit Outdoor Education Centre available to all young Victorians. Its purpose is to provide educational, adventurous & challenging outdoor activities for young people who may not otherwise have these opportunities.
The camp is situated in a remote part of Victorias High Country & was formed in 1977.
Groups of people between the ages of 14-18 experience a remote & simple lifestyle, helping to run a Pioneer style farm, whilst also enjoying bushwalking, camping, abseiling & white water rafting.
Mittagundi is much more than a holiday. A strong message from Mittagundi to young people is that rewards require large measures of effort. However things undertaken at Mittagundi usually end with a felling of satisfaction & friendship.
More information is available on the Mittagundi Brochure & Website - http://www.mittagundi.org.au/
